Thanks to those trying to help, but I'm still slightly confused!!

Let's not talk about "drivers side" or "passenger side" I have a LHD car!! It's also an EEC IV Escort, if that makes a difference!

The sensor I am looking at is on the inlet side of the head, just behind the cam belt (see picture below), is this the temp sensor that the temperature gauge uses??



Martin, isn't CTS "Coolant temp sensor"?
