What I would recommend as I did on my Orion which is in a pretty bad state,

Wash
Clay
Wash
Machine polish with the likes of Menzerna, Gtechniq, Sonus etc
Panel wipe to get rid of any residue
Seal paintwork with something like Fusso wax, Victoria wax, Gtechniq nano sealants

I understand you may need to purchase some of the above bits but the results will speak for themselves...failing that, get a detailer to give it a once over
Not tried the fusso waxes but I understand they fill exceptionally well almost giving the same effect as laying down a glaze. The nano sealants won't fill and if the paint isn't perfect they can really highlight defects.
