Hi Mark
I took mine out yesterday so very fresh in the memory
Drain the water
Take the rad and intercooler out that way you wont damage them if it jumps forward as it comes out.
The sump can be a bit tight as it comes by the crossmember.
Remove the two 17mm (spanner size) nuts on top of the engine mounts.
Support the weight of the engine on the crane
Un bolt the engine mounts from the block four 13mm bolts each side
Suport the gearbox with a jack as you lift the engine up till the bell housing is just about against the tunnel.
Oviously diconect all the usal bits ( Remove the starter and all the bell housing bolts 6 in all Plus one small bolt at the bottom edge of bell housing.
Disconnect all the wiring conections ( injectors, coolant temp sensor back of head on inlet side, distributer, air temp sensor on plenim, tps sensor on throttle housing, earth wires front of head inlet side, crank sensor connector on bracket behind distributer.
Heater hoses at back on bulkhead.
Map sensor pipe from plenim
If your going to strip the engine you can always take the head off first as that makes it even simpler
Don't be in too much of a hurry as it comes out and keep checking there is nothing still conected or snaging
Hope that helps
Cheers Tim.
