The sad part was when I came to drive home, I got in, turned the key, and the car now sounds like a diesel there seems to be a low frequency ticking sound coming from down low in the engine bay, where all the belts and pulleys are.

I drove the car about 50 meters, then stopped it, turned it off, and just shock my head in disbelief. So I started it again, and the sound was still there needless to say I've come home and rung my insurance company, as I have NO idea as to were I stand on this one.

I told the insurance company that it only went through it's MOT in April, straight through without one single advisory, and I have spent thousands (yep sad) in making sure the car is always maintained above and beyond it's needs, and is 100% right at all times.

My insurance company said they will ring back Monday, after they have spoken to the repair shop, but honestly, this really feels like a low blow
I was really looking forward to coming up to Ford Fair, but I actually felt so uncomfortable driving it the 2.5 miles home. Needless to say I will get the lads at work to take a look, as it could be just a pulley bearing or something, but all I know, and being 100% honest, is that when they drove my car away, it 100% didn't make any noise like this
