Default VIC test Help please

Right my car needs the fueling setting up and mapping before its going to pass the emissions part of an MOT, it's needs tax and MOT to be set up and it needs A vic check before I can buy tax!

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place I live in 50 miles away from the tuner and will have to tow the car which is a complete arse as I use a ranger it its puts me over my 3.5 ton limit

on the vic test .gov website it says it needs to be road worthy (move under its own power) and have an MOT if it needs one (if your driving it to the test centre)

So I'm wondering if I could tow it to the test centre so they could check the ID as they don't check anything else?

Anyone know if you can do that?
