Whoever told you that was talking rubbish I'm afraid. The baby boards fitted by most tuners do nothing more than decrypt the encrypted eprom they fitted. It adds no functionality and has no effect on power levels. Ive mapped plenty of YB's Reving to 8200rpm with over 600BHP On a nice standard L8. And at 440bhp they certainly don't need wild cams or big ported heads as you have been told either. In fact, the standard head will do 500bhp on the right turbo.
