Default ST170/Mondeo 300mm brake conversion guide

There are a few rough guides out there but i think there lacking in some vital info about bolts and spacers so im putting together this one

You will need
ST170 discs
mk3 mondeo or st170 calipers and carriers
12mm spacer to sit between the hub and caliper, i used 12.5mm holes so i had some wiggle room
M12 40mm (found this to be the correct length) bolts with a tensile strength of 12.9 or more (DO NOT USE 8.8's)

i used the standard escort brake lines so i suspect braided escort lines will also work

i used socket cap type bolts as it was all i could find with a tensile strength high enough

remove the old calipers and discs (i clamped brake lines to do this)

ones your at this stage you need to drill out the existing holes one the hub to 12mm (i used a cobalt drill bit so i could use a cordless drill)

connect the calipers to the brake line and position the disc and spacer using the bolts

as my calipers were refurbished and the just slid straight on to the discs, do up the bolts, and bleed as normal

job done
