My friend came round and helped me fit the linkage to the car today. Throw is so much better, and no more sloppy stick.
It goes into gears all ok on the driveway with the engine off. But once the engine is running its a pain to find some of the gears, I've yet to find 3rd gear.

I took it out for a quick drive down a couple of roads(40MPH) and what a pain it is to drive, so looks like the linkage needs adjusting at the box end.
