I used to have a great Recovery truck. Bought it purely for moving my own project cars between places and to collect cars I bought all over the country, but stuck an advert on eBay to try and get a few odd jobs moving cars to help the truck pay for itself and so it wasn't sat around doing nothing for weeks on end. Used to move cars all over of a weekend and could have been moving them constantly if I'd wanted to/had time.

Difficult to make any real money from it though as there is no end of uninsured Polish people who will move cars for peanuts.

Didn't bother me as I quoted jobs properly and the odd job I picked up always resulted in a happy customer as they could see I was a serious car enthusiast with a very well looked after truck etc and only wanted the odd job every other weekend or whatever just to help the truck earn its keep and keep it running regularly, but if you want to earn a living from it, you could end up knackering yourself out to earn very little!
