Speaking from experience, I would go for AP over Helix. Me Helix was not road friendly, the pressure plate was very heavy and snappy. Had one in my escort and ended up removing it after a few hundred miles.

As for torque ratings. I know people have had no bother with theirs, but as food for thought my AP2000-8 started to slightly slip at just over 200FtLbs on the dyno.
