Thankyou mate Well the car is already circa 340bhp. It has an AP organic clutch, dark greens, 3 bar map sensor, 044 fuel pump, stage 3 chip. But i should think at 340 these mods are at their limits? As for the rebuild i am buying a shed today and a work bench and all of the work i will be carrying out myself. The big end bearings have definately gone, as have the camshaft bearings, so these will be replaced, but im not sure if i want the cylinders rebored. Is it advisable to do this while the engine is stripped? Also grinding the crank? I pretty much want to take the engine apart, uprate whats knackered, replace all the essentials and put it back to together. Im a bit old hat when it comes to ignition but i have been reading up on wasted spark ignition and it does sound bloody good! Are there any disadvantages to it?
