Forgot to say I didn't want to try welding in a panel or something like that because I like the colour of the van and didn't want to spend out on a respray as to be honest it's not worth putting the money into. If need be I would just matte black it but to be honest I'm not keen on matte black and think it would look pretty shit hence the choice to vinyl.
