Basically I got a cheap set of 6 magnesium 16" azevs that where on a group a escort and later a similar set of compomotive 5 spokes (both second hand).
The offset is I think et35 but can confirm this tommorow if you like. I will measure the front track aswell, so you can compare my end result to the mk3's.
The compression struts are the easiest way to get the wheel center - set the castor angle, but I found that I liked the handling better with the sierra cosworth arb. One of my next plans would be to try and fit both the comp struts and arb together.
Also the sierra hubs have a lot bigger bearings.
