I am in a similar situation with a tappy cvh! its done 1500 ish miles with a kent cvh35 which i fitted with new lifters, i have learnt from this don't use cheap lifters as its lunched the cam the one thing i did notice is i replaced a couple of the lifters right from the start due to a misfire. (hindsight says i should have changed the lot) as the two cam lobes that had ford lifters in them are fine, the rest are worn!
