For a car you can jump in and drive it's the one, Saff at stage 3 is fast, but it's not hard to get the focus to 330 bhp too. My suggestion is drive a few as they vary massively, mines a good one, and has been 100% reliable for 7 years and 120k miles
The Focus RS is, as a daily driver going to be more practical as it is a modern easy to drive car but will never have the same appeal as a well sorted Sapphire 2wd. A while back when my Daughter was looking at maybe getting a new FRS we went to have a test drive in one, and yes it was very smooth and easy to drive but it didnt have a wow factor. The funny thing was we went to the Ford dealer in my 1990 450 bhp 2wd Sapphire which I left in their customer car park. When we got back there was mechanics and salesmen from the dealers standing around all looking at it. They asked me to look at the engine bay and had quite a few questions for me about it.
The point I am trying to make is if I had gone there in an FRS would it have got the same amount of interest?
I have had mine for 21 years, would I change it for an FRS ? No chance!!
