I was going to recommend the rac but if they don't cover commercials then guess they are no good. You will hear good bits and bad bits about every breakdown company. The RAC get bonuses if they fix a car at the side of the road rather than towing.


They got my mrs out of trouble a few years ago when her wheel bearing collapsed with no warning, totally locking the rear wheel up! He took my wife to buy a new bearing, then took her on to her destination. He then went back to the car, took the hub off, went back to their workshop and pressed the new bearing in. Got the car back together, went and picked my wife up, dropped her back to her car then followed her back to her destination to make sure she was happy. Took him about 4 hours.
