I've got an '06 plate Civic 2.2 diesel as my daily and that would have a Type R's pants down IMO.
So for me, I would be going for the ST
Agree on the 2.2
my mates mum had one and she let us borrow it to go pick up my mates new car. On the way back my mate decided he would try his new gti out against a type r! I was driving the 2.2 derv civic and was all over the back of my mates gti who was all over the type r!
