Guys he is so dead set on buying this car nothing said will change that.

I can completely see why he feels that way but in my opinion I would be asking a hell of a lot more questions. Where is the person that is on the logbook. What's the full story. He must know that person no?

To me it's a gamble with a substantial amount of money. If it was me I would walk away if I could not have some information or be able to talk to the person on the logbook. and believe me I would but that car on a heartbeat.
