Onto my next problem! Usual issue with the fans not cutting in. First time its happened to the car in 19 years of ownership.
Hasn't been run for a long while so dug it out of the garage and let it tickover expecting the fans to kick in. The temp rose above the normal expected level but still no fans.
So, I pulled the plug on the fan switch and got 13.8 volts. (this was after it had been running for 30 mins) Tried bridging across the plug to bring the fans on, that didn't work. its a standard 2WD so I think it should be fuse 11, it doesn't say which fuse on the fuse box lid, the fuse looks a bit unhealthy but has not blown and the fusebox has no signs of excess current.
The fans spin easily by hand.

So whats gone wrong, any offer please on what to test next.

I intend to uprate the loom but want to get it working correctly first.
