Not just for the built engine. But adding thing's like Area six race head with big valves etc cost me and I could have saved on machining and engine assembly if I had shopped around but was very happy with the work done on it.
if i can learn from you guys what to avoid ,i might save a few quid as i have no idea about zetecs lol

how much is the area six race head?

As said, you can do it on the cheap, but you will always want more power

lol
thats the problem fudgey ,it can get out of hand quite quickly ,but i need to stick to a sensible budget in case i put the car in the barriers

£500 got me a t25 with manifold, pectal management, gearbox, blacktop head and everything else I needed plus more as a job lot, all I had to do was buy an st170 bottom end for 150, head gasket and bolts for about 70 and a set of driveshafts. im sure ill need more bits when I drop it in but should still be under a grand and hopefully around 240 brake.
that sounds like you have got some decent parts for good money neill ,but i want to try buy a package built up already if possible
