However, ive got a mk2 and mk3 octavia vrs, my buddy has just got rid of a 2012 A4 with the same chassis/engine as my mk3, he had no end of trouble and had to sell up, mines like a wood burning stove, both of them.

The a4 (petrol 2.0 tfsi) was burning 1l oil every 400 miles or so and they couldnt fathom it after repeated trips to the dealer and a new inlet manifold at £700 and it seems a common issue looking round the forums
I am also a firm believer that some cars just seem to have bad luck compared to others. I have had people say to me " this car has got a jink on it " No logic to it but it happens.
