What are the benefits of these over std 4x4...leaving aside the anti lag and is there a HP limit that these run to?

In the pic there is a tube near the throttle body about 22m diameter...is that the bypass and could it be used to run a servo for brake vacuum with a one way valve to stop boost pressure going the wrong way?
