sorry could you explain what you mean ,I don't see how you can have 6 long studs threaded in the bottom of the block then have 4 short ones in the original threads and have all 10 clamping with the same force ,unless you torque them up different ,but then how do you still know that they are clamping with the same force unless there are gauges measuring the compress of the head etc

if you look at a pinto block the inner 6 are all near water jackets. The front and rear have more meat around them.
