Default Engine / Model Advice

Hi,

I am looking at buying a Ford Focus Estate (probably titanium or titanium x) for my wife. thnk ing about something nearly new with low mileage (2014 under 10k mileage). We arent sure how many miles we are likely to do in it for a few reasons but lets say around 12k a year.

Happy to pay for a diesel id its going to save us in the long run but not overly bothered if we get a diesel or petrol. We are looking for between about 115bhp and 140bhp as we find her 2010 100bhp petrol really sluggish. Most cars available seem to be the 1.6 TDCI 115 BHP. I have seen a few things on the internet about issues with the turbos and DPF's. Also read some stuff about some of teh ford engines being PSA engines.

Can anyone suggest which model versions are good or bad buys? In particular what is the 1.6 TDCi like?

1.6 EcoBoost Titanium X 5d
1.6 TDCi (115bhp) Titanium X 5d
2.0 TDCi (163bhp) Titanium X 5d
2.0 TDCi (163bhp) Titanium X 5d Powershift
1.0 EcoBoost Titanium X 5d
1.0 (125bhp) EcoBoost Titanium X 5d
1.6 (180bhp) EcoBoost Titanium X 5d
1.0 EcoBoost Titanium X (11/14-) 5d
1.0 EcoBoost Titanium X Navigation 5d
1.0 EcoBoost (125bhp) Titanium X 5d
1.0 EcoBoost (125bhp) Titanium X Navigation 5d
1.5 EcoBoost (182bhp) Titanium X 5d
1.5 EcoBoost (182bhp) Titanium X Navigation 5d
1.5 TDCi (120bhp) Titanium X 5d
1.5 TDCi (120bhp) Titanium X Navigation 5d
2.0 TDCi Titanium X 5d
