i think it was a "safe" option as generic mapping was in its infancy then

for 5 turbos we just used to wind the boost up using the actuator and use pallet banding to help hold the intercooler together[plus unplug the boost protection sensor]-as far as checking the fuelling well erm...we didnt in those days
Its come a long way since those days but its still easy to kill a cossie if set up wrong.

Theres was a fella around here had many cossies that every engine had blown. He bragged his chip that he used was a cossie killer.!
