No mate, not at all.

It fires up immediately, just dies within 3-4 seconds.

If I rev it, then I can hold the revs at say 2.5K and when I release (after maybe a minute) the car idles and runs fine.

It runs lumpy while I am holding it at 2.5K, but then clears up pretty quickly.

It's got to be a choke problem, the mixture on fire up isn't rich enough. Either that or the fuel pumps on the way out!
