just get it repainted

Unless you know what you are doing and have hours and hours to spend sanding and polishing then it will look shit.

Plus people will ask if youve got a carbon bonnet and youll have to admit its just skinned and actually heavier than standard as a result

Working with composites, Im fairly biased but generally we tend to look down upon skinning. Too many chavs do it as well but its not as bad as fake carbon vinyl wrapping. Its always the same at work, you get a call from certain "types" of people, usually from brum or bradford, with a poverty spec scrapper E36 BMW with M3 badges etc "you want to skin your entire bmw? yeah course you do".
