Right, well, i have had a complete fucking twat of a cunt bastard day!!! And thats putting it lightly...

I curbed the fuck outta my audi avants new 19s this morning driving like a twat throught the lanes hitting apexs, not good on staggered fitment, stretched tyres, clipped tye curb and ruined a very expensive set of wheels, iv snapped bolts, hit my shin with a mallet, iv had a fucking shit day!!

The focus ...

Got to the unit this morning and assembled the diff and fitting kit, went quite well once id worked out where everything went..had to trim the fins on the casing to get the bracket to fit, no biggy.

Then got the polybushs pressed in the rear beam and diff fitted to that..

Then it came to fitting the lot to the car...beam went on fine, when it came to the diff mount, all hell broke loose, none of the holes lined up, it was a case of beam in out, loosen all bolts, diff in and out, a proper nightmare!! I think maybe because the 4 diff mounting holes are tied into the roll cage, there is absolutely no give, and perhaps they arent absolutely spot on! Anyway, i finally managed to persuede the bolts in, done them up and this happened

From where its under so much stress, it sheered very easily, i then removed it and tried to clamp in a vice to remove the broken thread, nope its seized in there, ally and steel dont mix!!

The plan...

Going to drill the broken bolt out of the bracket, and mill the holes on the diff mount to this..

That should give me enough adjustment on the mounting points for the diff, i dont think much of a1 rallysports build quality!!

Will hopefully get this sorted tomoz and beam and diff fitted properly on tuesday!

Im going to bed.
