Personally I would forget about spending money on aero quip and use normal rubber push on hose.
If it's just for looks you can buy stainless over braid rubber and use those hose finishers on each end.
he's already been advised about the ptfe hose, those clamps will be fine if he uses the normal rubber/stainless hose.
but like you say aeroquip isn't need in most cases but people like the look of it.
