You need to be able to afford to buy the car twice.

They are a huge step from the previous model (as is the current one to the e60/61) - technology moves fast.

I'm not the biggest fan of the gearbox, but its a great engine and a very good interior. The E39's feel like you have gone in a tardis back in time inside.
