MOT sidelight requirements?
I'm trying to find out whats needed for sidelights. I'm fitting some HID projectors from the retrofit source to my headlamps and they will obscure the existing sidelight, leaving me without one. I have three options:
1) Fit some chavvy DRL style LEDs in the headlamp
2) Feed the foglight with a lower voltage to gain a dim 'sidelight' - the fog is in the headlamp housing
3) Just connect it up so the sidelight position brings on the headlights.
The only rules I can find say that position lights must come on on the first switch position, but its it necessary for them to be separate from the headlight bulbs? If so, will dim fogs suffice?
