I do like the look of the ally blocks from a weight saving over the front axle. I have seen that you can go as large as 2.7l too but a build to suit all of that would be mega bucks.
I was talking to Will Jones of smith and Jones the other day about a 2.5lt alloy block and the interesting changed they made over a 200 block.
