Default Brake pipe flare type SAE or DIN

Hope someone can help.

I need to make up a couple of brake pipes (will be using copper nickel pipe) that have DIN or metric male unions.

Problem is i've only got an SAE flaring tool.

I've heard that an SAE double type flare half done will work in a DIN fitting? When I say half done I mean a single flare.

Oh, I dunno! which is why I'm asking.

One of the pipes is going to go on top of a fuel tank which means a huge amount of dismantling to access it so I'd really like to get it right.

The obvious anwser is to get a DIN flaring tool but cash is tight and I've only got a borrow on the SAE flaring tool.

Will a single SAE flare work in a DIN fitting using copper nickel pipe?

Many thanks.
