Before this Lexus I had a 1.4 Rover 200, and before that a 1.8 Escort Si. The Rover was £539 (£618 instalments) and the Escort was initially the cheapest at £434, with Churchill, but they wouldn't accept recommendation of NCB from my employer (as I lost mine not insuring a car while I was driving company vans instead) so that went up to £580.
