Finally got it running today started first turn of the key caught me by suprise
Ran it up all looks ok the the battery light came on, after a bit of searching and head scratching traced it to the alternator wires badly perished and hanging out of the plug



Peeled it back to find this



So cutting all that out and replacing it and braiding it then wrapping in heat proof sleeping, that's my job for tomorrow
The main cable seems too big to solder any one done this before
