Stumbled across this little Escort my first intention was to make it RWD with a carb'd Duratec engine but money as always needs to be spent on the 3 Door
It's possibly the nicest original Mk4 shell I've ever seen, 2 owners from new first owner had it for about 3 months and stuck 5000 miles on it then next (lady) owner has had it ever since taking the mileage upto 85902 having only covered 3611 miles in the last 4 years (see attached MOT Certificate)
There is virtually no rust on this what so ever there are only two small spots I can see (both pictured) one around the rear wiper arm on the tailgate and one small bit on the O/S/R wheel arch at the bottom.
It appears to have the original headunit that came the car and still has both front arch liners in excellent condition.
The paint work isn't great, the engine smokes like fuck the tyres are pretty much shot although not due to lack of tread the rears have a 1999 date stamp on with still 6mm of tread lol but the side walls are cracked, and the interior is plain awful!
It would make an ideal reshell project for a RST.
It starts and drives comes with MOT'd till the 21.02.14 tax on it as well but obviously that has to come off now with the new rules.
Come and have a butchers at it like I said one of the best never welded original paneled Mk4 shells I've ever seen
