if they are wet do they suffer with counterbore wear issues ? all ours have over the years with rebuild after rebuild and eventually needed machineing and a 30 thou shim putting in to bring it back to spec

mind you id guess some of our cats are knocking on for 60000 hours though on the chassis/casings
the above engine dose suffer from liner lift as the block rots and lifts the liner it catches people out as the think its the head gasket! You have to measure the liner height. If they have lifted you pull the liner out then there's a new liner with a larger rim at the top and you cut the block with a special tool and fit the new liner so it sits at the correct height
