if they are wet do they suffer with counterbore wear issues ? all ours have over the years with rebuild after rebuild and eventually needed machineing and a 30 thou shim putting in to bring it back to spec

mind you id guess some of our cats are knocking on for 60000 hours though on the chassis/casings
LF engines that I'm talking about in the above comment have no liners but we fit liners to them after a piston has picked up and marked the bore so the block can be re used. But I have done one that got plus size Pistons in all 6 pots after a re bore that was a good job as it was a bare block strip down. I've also fitted one over size piston in a few times lol makes no difference really!
