Brake options under RS7 Spokes
I'd really like to fit some bigger brakes behind my rs7's but as we know its a bit tricky as clearance is a problem. They only clear the standard 4 pots with a 3mm spacer.
I've thought about getting some hispec 325x24mm rotors with offset bells and keep the std calipers but for the price i just dont think its going to be worth it?
Now thinking of converting to a std mk2 focus ST or even RS brake setup if they will fit. With single piston calipers clearance should be less of an issue. The disc height is very similar to the 2wd cossie too. Obviously they would need to be drilled to 4 stud but the PCD is the same so only 3 holes to drill in the disc (i realise some may think this is a bad idea??)
The ST has 320mm discs snd RS 336mm so this has got to be an improvement on the standard cossie brakes.
Whats people's thoughts? Am i thinking a load of shite?
