Wouldn't surprise me if they saw the plate and then cooked up the whole episode on the strength of it..

The whole show is just a vehicle for Clarkson (and to a lesser extent the other two) to put his outdated opinions across and they are having to get more ridiculous with their programs to keep the viewers IMO.. Look at the whole Mexico thing a couple of years ago and the 'slope' comment from one of the recent specials..

they say there is no such thing as bad publicity and they are playing on that to the max.. Maybe now someone has actually been hurt because of their antics they may get rained in a bit but with the ratings they pull in, I doubt it..
