Don't quote me on this because i've never tried to take out just the motor but I believe you may have to take out the dash. The unit is held to side the of the heater box with spring clips, as well as bolts to the bulkhead. There is also a small wiring loom you will need to release from a multi-plug held on the side of the dash support bars behind the stereo.
