to be fair if your after performance and your not going to improve the fueling with a chip your waisting your time and money. even with a exhaust/filter you would be looking at about a 5 bhp improvement (if the car was in perfect running condition). it cost me £1000 to gain 12 bhp on my 2i

Replacing the paper air filter with a performance filter will cost me £30 +.
Can anyone who has changed their filter let me know if they have noticed a marked improvement. Or as Frsjon says is it a waste of money.
It will be interesting to see if anyone recommends a performance filter.
As I have my doubts if it will make any difference also.
