bought myself a diff off fleabay-used when recieved the input flange would only turn about 3 and a half turns each way and lock up solid
when i stripped the back plate off there is a good bit of play in the centre pin for the planet gears-i cant at the moment get the two toothed bearing cups off as i dont have a tool[will have to fabricate one or borrow] so cant lift diff right out for inspection as yet
just asking what people think/know will be wrong with it and are the bits readily available-i also bought a completely refurbished unit for my 3 door a few weeks ago and it wasnt too expensive at £375 so i dont need a quick repair-but would like to know if its worth the effort
