I don't often go around recommending stuff to everyone. Most of the time I dismiss everything as a placebo.

I change my oil every 6 months or 6,000miles.
Winter I use a 0w30 oil.
Summer I use a 5w40 oil.
Spring and Autmn I use a 5w30 oil.
Oil is usually oil to me and I pick something with a decent brand name, a suitible viscosity and ensure it has an ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 or A5/B5 (preffered) specification.

So a week last Friday I was driving home from work when it dawned on me an oil change was due. The car was filled with Castrol Edge 5w40 Turbodiesel oil in May.
I popped into motorfactors and just picked up a filter, a sump plug and a bottle of Millers oil with a 5w30 weight and a Ford specification.
Up until then I'd never heard of the Millers Nanodrive range. This is what I bought...


So I got home and changed the oil as per normal.
I took the car out Saturday morning and I couldn't help but notice how much quieter my engine was on first start up. Not only that the car seemed much more eager than usual. Usually it really doesn't want to move when it's cold.
Once the engine had warmed up I gave it some beans and it just pulled harder and for longer.
Convinced it was all in my head I sent my Missus out to buy a Chinese Saturday night in my car and she came back and even mentioned that my car was going better.

Glad it wasn't in my head I went to Google where I found a magazine feature of a Focus ST which gained significant increases in power from using a nanodrive oil!

So if you are doing an oil then I really recommend trying this stuff! In fact the Ford stuff isn't that expensive and well worth the extra few quid!
