abs light illuminates if a belt breaks, each driveshaft runs a belt,
chances are a belt has snapped, there is a switch on each belt cover plate,
switch lifts out easy, just tension on a plastic lever and it lifts free,
carefull of the stainless lever arm connected to switch,
these can drop off, inside the cover, if ham fisted.
feel in the hole for a belt, or use a flashlight,,
belt goes over the driveshaft, not a 10 minute job, but do-able,
speedo cable could have simply come off , behind the clocks, , 2 piece speedo cable is easy to disconnect at gearbox end , or split both parts
fix the cable end in a drill and spin, drill forwards(clockwise) observe dash

testing gearbox drive gear , >> lift road wheels off the ground, insert a small screwdriver or allen key, in the speedo output on the gearbox, place in 2nd gear, with engine running, watch for it to turn ,
the drive gear is nylon and can strip its gears ,
trusty Haynes manual is very usefull ,
