thank you for replying and clearing some of that up, I'm quite handy with a socket set, and drivers, had interior out and replaced most gaskets myself apart from a head one. Im sure i can attempt it myself, it would bring great satisfaction of doing it myself.

Just which high quality standard replacement do i go with. Ford don't supply the hydraulic cam anymore. Everyone talks about solid cams. I hear all sorts kent, piper, newman but all are for modded engines and fast road spec.
