Was in my mates Golf R in Germany back in2012, and even though i hate VAG stuff with a passion, there was no denying a Golf R is a very good car and quick too. His had the DSG box too. Sounded class and popped and banged like fuck (though he had an aftermarket exhaust). His was fullying specced as it was owned by the manager of the local dealership, had 12,000kms on it and was 7 months old. Still cost him €33,000 back then, when it was £1-€1.15!!!

Fuck that, for a Golf!!!!
