Thanks for the replies...GVK thanks for the detailed post you put up for me...as said on the tread its the wrong engine...Its the pre-95 engine and mines 2002 Van ,so this got me a little confused.
The camshaft locks at the other side and diesel pump doesn't look or lock, like the diagram you put up...the pulley is different.

Well the pin plug must be behind the alternator bracket i will take it off tomorrow.

I do have a fair bit of experience with timing belt changes but never done a Ford hence the help needed.

Its really important that you have experience with said engines before posting information to newbies to follow as following wrong advice could kill a perfectly good engine.

My advice to you is if you have not done one before leave it alone and get someone who has because you could well kill a perfect engine.
