This is the pin installed but with the alternator and alternator mounting bracket removed.
Correct flywheel locking tool with starter removed

Below, you can just make out the alternator shaft extender and may be able to see the alternator mounting bracket. You can thread the pin in with the support bracket still on but it is tricky and it only take five minutes to take the bracket off.
LOL.... did I mention I am flogging the proper timing pin / bar / puller / locker kit for this engine
