Wink Not starting/fuel pump

Hey guys

Went to start my car today having not started it for a few months.

I had to swap tue battery over as the old was was shot but having done so and cranked the engine over a few times to get the oil pressure up

I then went to start the car but it wouldnt start it just cranked over.

So did some investigation
Checked all fuses were ok
Pulled all the plugs out to check fuel was getting in which it was as they were soaked so with all the plugs out i cranked the engine to clear the excess fuel out
Having done that tried atarting again but still no luck.

So thought ok lets remove the fuel pump fuse and crank it over to try and get rid of any more fuel and the engine started and ran at idle and just above seemed abit lumpy but more revs and seemed ok.
So thought ok maybe there was still plenty of fuel in the cylinders allowing the engine to run

I then put the fuel pump fuse back in but again the pump primed but then wouldnt start.

So pulled the fuse out again and yet again it started, but obviously the pump didnt prime.

So with the fuse back in checked voltage at the pump and during the short prime was getting about 11v (battery is still lowish)
With fuse removed again staryed engine but only getting about 0.2v at pump so how can the engine be running whilst running i put the pump fuse back in and the engine died.

I am completely confused how the pump will prime but engine not start with fuse in
But with no pump fuse there is no pump prime but the engine will start after 15seca on cranking.

Now i havent checked the pump relay as got annoyed and left it (had food shoping to do)

Could this all be caused by a dodgy pump relay now sticking and a small voltage jumping across without the fuse or am i totaly wrong.

It has a clifford alarm but that seems to disarm correctly.
I have also removed the cut off switch in the boot and joined the wires together so this isnt the problem.

Any clues as im nearly out of ideas.
